Office 2007 was nice when you say it’s pretty!
So I’ve been working on Office 2007 for a while and I’ve even recommended it to people. I say things like “it’s nicer” “it’s pretty” “your eyes will thank you for the shininess of it” “your dog will love you more for getting it”
You know the common things IT people say to get you to buy a new product…
Woops did I just say that?!
Anywho, Office 2007 has been good so far, though there are a few security quarks here and there that seem insane but if you are in a high security environment it would make sense, I guess if you work for the NSA. One thing has rocked my world though and that’s IMAP.
I tell ya we are trying to deploy GoogApps here in the office and outlook 2007 (2003 and outlook express work fine) doesn’t like the IMAP settings I’m giving it, it keeps displaying every email on the same day!?! So very annoying maybe I’ll find a cure for this but man oh man has this put a crimp in my style!
